14 ozs floury potatoes (peeled and washed)
2 onions (peeled and finely diced)
2 carrots (peeled and diced)
14 ozs Celery (washed, trimmed and diced)
1 cup frozen peas (thawed)
28 ozs Minced Beef
1.333 cups Beef stock
4 Tbsps sunflower oil
2 Tbsps tomato puree
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 cup Cheddar cheese (grated)
cup hot milk
Nutmeg

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 25 minutes.

Heat the oil and brown the mince on all sides, then add the vegetables and fry all together. Add the tomato puree and stock and season with salt and pepper.
4.
Drain and mash the potatoes. Stir in the hot milk and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Butter a baking dish. Spoon the mince into the dish, put the mashed potato on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
