200 grams brown cane sugar
50 grams sugar beet syrup
250 grams butter
1 Mango
Whole wheat flour (as needed)
80 grams Pumpkin seed
150 grams honey

Preparation steps

1.

Grind the oats and spelt flakes in a blender coarsely and mix with the turbinado sugar in a mixing bowl. Heat the corn syrup and the butter in a pan slowly, mix well, add to the oats-sugar mixture and mix well. Peel the mango and cut the flesh from the core. Puree the mango flesh and mix into the oats mixture. The mixture should be spreadable. Mix in some whole wheat flour if required.

Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper and flatten evenly (about 5 mm thick). Sprinkle the pumpkin seeds over the mixture and press lightly.

Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (fan: 140°C, gas mark 2) (approximately 320°F) for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the tray from the oven and brush the baked mixture thinly with honey while still hot. Leave to cool.

4.

Break the baked mixture into irregular pieces and serve it as a snack.
