- 1 cube fresh Yeast (42 grams) (approximately 1 1/2 ounces)
- 300 grams Rye flour
- 200 grams Whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 grams Rye berry
- 75 grams Sourdough
- butter (for greasing)
- 4 Tbsps Rye berry (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Dissolve the crumbled yeast in 300 ml (approximately 1 1 /4 cups) lukewarm water. Combine the flour, salt and rye in a bowl, make a well in the center, add the yeast water and sourdough starter and knead until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Grease 2 (8 cm) (approximately 3-inch) cylindrical baking forms and sprinkle with rye. Divide the bread into 2 portions, place in the prepared molds and bake for 45-60 minutes. Remove from the oven and carefully remove from the molds. Serve sliced.
