This is a great option for your guests who are vegan or vegetarian! They get to eat at the barbecue with no worries about ruining their diets. The tofu in these burgers is a great source of iron and calcium while the sweet corn is a great source of vitamins C, B1, and B9.

You can leave out the buns or replace them with lettuce wraps in order to make this a lower carb and lower-calorie meal.

2 ⅔ cups sweet Corn (Frozen, thawed and drained)

1 großer Pot mit Deckel, 1 Potato ricer oder Kartoffelstampfer, 1 große Bowl, 1 Hand mixer, 1 Fine grater, 1 Citrus juicer, 2 Small bowls, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Small pot, 1 Small knife, 1 Cutting board, 1 kleiner Whisk, 1 Rolling pin, 1 großes Cutting board, 1 weiter Pot mit Deckel, 1 Small skillet, 1 Tablespoon, 1 kleine Ladle, 1 Slotted spoon, 1 Fork, 1 Pastry wheel

Preparation steps

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and gently fry the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and chilli and cook for 2 minutes.

Put the onion mixture with the tofu and sweet corn in a food processor and pulse until you have a coarse mixture. Season with salt and pepper and shape into burgers.

Heat the remaining oil in a wide pan and fry the burgers gently for about 4 minutes each side.

Serve on the buns with lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup.
