- For the spare ribs
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 kilograms Pork ribs
- For the sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 100 milliliters tomato puree
- 50 milliliters Ketchup
- 100 milliliters honey
- 60 milliliters Orange juice
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- peppers
- ground paprika
- Tabasco sauce (as desired)
- Beef broth (as needed)

Preparation steps
1.
For the spare ribs, boil pork in a large pot of water. Peel onion and garlic, cut in half and add to pot. Let ribs simmer for 20-30 minutes.

For the sauce, peel onion and garlic and finely chop. Saute in a hot pan with oil until translucent. Add remaining ingredients, season and simmer for a bit. If sauce is too thick, pour in a little broth. Preheat grill.

Drain cooked ribs and dab dry. Brush on sauce and cook for about 20 minutes, adding more sauce as needed. Serve garnished with thyme.
