This recipe is a nice way to eat your nutrients from the pears and get healthy fats from the cheese and walnuts. It is a versatile dish that can be served for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert.

- ⅜ cup Cider vinegar
- 3 cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 2 tsps Mustard seed
- 4 Tbsps sugar
- 4 Pear (peeled, quartered and cored)
- 1 cup fresh Goat cheese
- 2 Tbsps honey
- 2 Tbsps Walnut (chopped)

1 Pot, 1 Casserole dish, 1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Sieve, 1 Small bowl
Preparation steps
1.
Put the apple juice, cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, mustard seeds and sugar into a pan, bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Add the pears to the spiced syrup and poach until cooked but still firm to the bite. Take the pears out of the syrup and set aside.
3.
Boil the syrup until it thickens slightly, then remove from the heat. Sweeten to taste with the honey. Pour over the pears and leave to cool.
4.
Put the pears onto plates. Add the goat cheese and serve drizzled with the syrup and scattered with chopped walnuts.
