Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F) on the convection setting. Halve the pita bread horizontally and cut into pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Cut the garlic in half and rub the cut edges on the surface of the baked pita bread. Peel and chop the onion. Rinse and chop the tomato. Combine the onion, tomato, basil and olive oil and season with lemon juice, sugar and sea salt.

To serve, spread the tomato mixture on the pita bread pieces and sprinkle with the crumbled feta cheese. Serve garnished with basil leaves.
