250 grams ground almonds
100 grams sugar
4 drops Almond extract
50 grams Marzipan
2 egg whites

3 tablespoons powdered sugar (for rolling out)
200 grams Pine nuts
1 egg white (beaten)
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine the ground almonds, sugar, almond extract, marzipan and egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer. Knead with the dough hook attachment until smooth.

Sprinkle the powdered sugar onto the work surface and roll the dough into a 70 cm (approximately 28 inch) strand. Cut the strand into 2 cm thick slices. form an approximately 70 cm long roll the dough. Role in 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) thick slices. Dip the slices into the beaten egg white and then into the pine nuts. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
