Preparation steps
1.
Mix the cornflour with the baking powder and water.
2.
Beat the egg white until frothy and fold into the batter.
3.
Heat the oil to 180°C|350°F (small bubbles will form on the handle of a wooden spoon dipped in the oil when it has reached this temperature).
4.
Coat the chives, leaves and flowers in the batter and deep fry in batches until crisp. Drain on kitchen paper.
5.
For the beef fillet: mix the teriyaki sauce with the honey and sesame seeds and heat gently over a low heat. Add the pieces of beef fillet.
6.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the beef pieces for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked to your liking.
7.
Put the meat on serving plates and arrange the chive and flower tempura on the meat. Garnish the plates with a little wasabi oil.
