160 grams honey

100 grams ground Hazelnuts

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 390°F). Butter a baking sheet. In a bowl, mix flour with baking powder. Cut 80 grams (approximately 6 tablespoons) butter into small pieces and add it to the flour along with 80 grams (approximately 6 tablespoons) of honey and egg yolk and mix everything quickly to a smooth dough.

Place the dough on the baking sheet and press evenly with damp hands to a 35 x 20 cm (approximately 13 1/2 x 8-inch) rectangle.

For the topping, melt the remaining butter in a small saucepan. Add the remaining honey, the ground and whole nuts and bring to a boil over low heat, stirring all the while.

Spread the mixture evenly over the dough. Bake until the crust is set, about 15 minutes and while still hot cut into pieces. Transfer the pieces to a wire rack and let cool.
