1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
½ tsp Chili powder
1 tsp Turmeric (ground)
2 Tbsps Mirin
4 Tbsps soy sauce
2 Tbsps sesame oil
600 grams Chicken breasts

Preparation steps

1.

Peel and finely chop garlic and ginger. Stir together garlic and ginger with 5-spice powder, chilli powder, turmeric, mirin, soy sauce and sesame oil. Rinse chicken, pat dry and cut into small pieces. Thread chicken onto 12 wooden or bamboo skewers and transfer to a plate. Brush chicken with marinade, cover and refrigerate about 1 hour. Drain chicken and cook on a hot grill, brushing repeatedly with marinade and turning occasionally, about 5 minutes. Serve skewers sprinkled with chives.
