Nutritional values

The extremely juicy fruit selection makes this fruit salad in pineapple particularly tasty and also healthy. The mandarins, for example, provide a sufficient supply of vitamin C, which ensures a strong immune system and protects the body cells from damage. The citrus fruit also scores points with carotenoids and flavonides - these are secondary plant substances that can prevent cardiovascular diseases and cell damage.

If you like, you can also serve the fruit salad in a hollowed out sugar melon instead of a pineapple.

Preparation steps

1.

Slice the pineapple lengthwise about 1/3 of the way down, leaving 2/3 of the pineapple whole. Cut out the flesh with a knife, leaving the skin intact to later make the serving bowl. Remove the stalk. Dice the flesh of the pineapple and transfer to a large bowl. Peel the mandarin oranges and half the flesh. Rinse, halve and seed the grapes. Peel and dice the kiwis. Combine all the fruit in the bowl.

2.

Peel the grapefruit and dice the flesh, reserving the juices. Add both to the bowl.

3.

Add the Grand Marnier and sugar to the bowl and mix everything together. Pour the fruit into the hollowed-out pineapple and serve immediately.
