800 grams waxy potatoes
1 tsp Caraway

2 Tbsps vegetable oil (such as corn oil)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the potatoes and bring to a boil in a pot of water along with the caraway seeds and a pinch of salt. Cook for 25-35 minutes until the potatoes are soft.

Drain and allow to cool slightly.

Peel the potatoes and cut into 0.5 cm thick slices (approximately 1/4 inch).

Heat the oil in a cast iron pan or a fryer and fry the potatoes until golden brown on both sides.

Remove, season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
