3 egg yolks
1 Tbsp sugar
2 packets Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cinnamon
1 Tbsp Cherry brandy
200 grams Pastry flour
1 generous pinch Baking powder
clarified butter (for frying)
powdered sugar (to sprinkle)
colorful breadcrumbs (to sprinkle)

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the egg with egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, cinnamon and cherry brandy until creamy. Mix the flour with baking powder, and mix into the egg mixture with the dough hook of the hand mixer until smooth.

Roll the dough on a floured surface into a log (about 4 cm in diameter) (approximately 1½ inches in diameter) and cut into 25 slices. Roll out each dough slice on a floured surface to a very thin cake.

Heat the clarified butter in a pan. Loosely fold each cake and fry in the hot oil. Immediately push together the folds of cakes using two tablespoons until they no longer diverge. Fry all the dough cakes and drain on absorbent paper.

Sprinkle the cakes with powdered sugar and colored sprinkles, and serve.
