1 Tbsp lemon juice
250 grams butter
220 grams sugar
150 grams Pastry flour
100 grams ground Walnut
100 grams chopped Macadamia Nuts

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Grease the glass jars with butter and dust with breadcrumbs.

Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg whites with the lemon juice until stiff. Beat the butter with the sugar until light and creamy. Gradually add the egg yolks and then the cooled, melted chocolate. Combine the flour, ground walnuts and chopped macadamia nuts and stir into the batter. Gently fold in the egg whites and spoon the batter into the prepared jars about 2/3 of the way full. Bake for 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and seal immediately.
