- Ingredients
- 2 Celery root (about 500 grams)
- 8 slices cooked ham
- 8 slices Gouda
- 100 grams breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsps Pastry flour
- 8 Tbsps vegetable oil
- salt (and pepper)
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the celery and cook unpeeled in salted water for about 40 minutes. Let the celery cool in cold water and peel. Cut the celery into 8 slices of 1 cm (approximately ½ inches) length.
For the patties, cut the ham and cheese in round slices, place over 4 pieces of celery, and cover with the remaining pieces of celery.
2.
Coat the patties in flour, dip in beaten egg, and finally coat in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a pan and fry the celery slices from each side until golden brown over medium heat for about 4 minutes.
