Preparation steps

1.

Trim cheese and ham, if necessary, to the size of the bread slices.

2.

Rinse strawberries, trim, pat dry and cut into thin slices. Pluck lemon balm from stems.

3.

Coat bread with butter. Place two slices of bread on a work surface and layer ingredients on the bread in the following order: cheese, ham, strawberries, cheese, strawberries, lemon balm leaves and then ham. Cover with remaining slices of bread, press it down slightly and cut diagonally. Serve on plates.
