1 onion
100 grams Smoked bacon
2 tsps Caraway
4 Tbsps White vinegar
3 Tbsps vegetable oil
100 milliliters Beef broth
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

Remove outer leaves of the cabbage, cut into quarters and cut out the stalk. Cut into thin strips with a mandoline. Peel the onions and finely dice the bacon. Cook bacon until golden brown  in a roasting pan, remove and drain on paper towels. Fry the onions in the bacon fat until translucent.

2.

Add caraway seeds, vinegar and broth and bring to a boil. Pour mixture over the cabbage, mix and let marinate for 1 hour. Mix again before serving with the bacon.
