- For the bread dumplings
- 1 shallot
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 8 day-old White rolls (300 grams)
- 200 milliliters milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- breadcrumbs (as needed)

Preparation steps
1.
Peel shallot, finely chop and saute until translucent in hot butter. Cut rolls into slices and place in a bowl with hot milk. ix eggs, parsley, marjoram and shallot. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly squeeze rolls and add to mixture. Knead to combine. If mixture is too dry, add more milk. If mixture is too moist, add breadcrumbs.

Form round dumplings from mixture and cook in salted boiling water for about 20 minutes or until done.

Remove dumplings with a slotted spoon. Drain and serve.
