Blackberry and Elderberry Jam
Rinse the berries, drain and remove the elderberries from the stems. Mix with the lemon juice and jam sugar and bring to a boil while stirring.
Cook for 4 minutes until bubbly, stirring constantly. Immediately fill, seal and invert prepared jars for about 15 minutes. Return jars to upright and leave to cool. Store in a cool and dark area.
Tip: To preserve the jam/sauce for longer, you will need to process the jars according to manufacturer's instructions, or visit http://nchfp.uga.edu/.
