Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the elderberries and remove the stems. Cook the elderberries with a little water until they begin to break down, then pass through a fine strainer. 

2.

Peel and finely dice the pears. Add the pears and the jam sugar to the elderberries in a pot. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes until the jam begins to thicken. Fill the prepared jars to the brim with the jam. Seal tightly and cool completely.
