1 Toast the bread in a toaster and leave to cool.
2 Mix together the cream cheese and chives and season with salt and ground black pepper. Spread onto the toasted bread.
3 Arrange the lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber on the bread.
4 Fry the bacon in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Dry on kitchen paper and arrange on top of the salad on the bread.
5 Cover with the top slice of bread, cut in half diagonally, fix with a toothpick and serve.
