Nut puree is great for kids, despite its high fat and calorie content, because the fatty acids it contains are needed for the brain to function properly. Biting into a crunchy apple gently massages the gums and cleans the surface of the teeth. Although this does not replace brushing, it still contributes to dental health and protects against inflammation.
You can replace peanuts and peanut butter with almonds and almond paste or hazelnuts and hazelnut paste, instead of a green apple, of course, you can use any other type of apple.

- 1 lemon
- 1 green Apple
- 1 oz Shelled peanut (2 TBSP.)
- 3 Tbsps natural peanut butter (without added sugar )
- 2 Tbsps coconut chips
Preparation steps
Halve the lemon and squeeze the juice into a bowl with 9-ounces of water. Wash the apple, remove the core with an apple corer, cut the apple into 8 thick slices, and place in the lemon water for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, coarsely chop the peanuts and stir into the peanut butter. Pat apple slices dry with a kitchen towel and coat half of them with the peanut puree.
Top each with 1 more apple slice and sprinkle the edges of the sandwiches with coconut shavings. Fix with toothpicks if desired and serve.
