This dish contains the full load of pectin. This soluble fibre is contained in both apples and carrots and is able to relieve the symptoms of diarrhoea by protecting the intestinal wall and binding bacterial toxins.

It is easy to make a carrot salad with apple from the raw vegetables. For this, add a cup of yoghurt to the vegetables and season with salt, pepper and some chopped parsley. A wholemeal bread with butter is suitable.
