½ cube fresh Yeast (or 1.5 tsp dry yeast)
8 ½ ounces lukewarm milk
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg white
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation steps

Sift the flour into a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and mix with the sugar. Pour the yeast milk into the flour, and add the egg whites and salt. Knead on the floured work surface into smooth dough for about 10 minutes. Cut the dough into 12 pieces, shape each piece into oblong rolls, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, and leave covered for 30 minutes.

Make several cuts lengthwise about 5 mm deep over the rolls. Whisk the egg yolk with 1-2 teaspoons water and brush the dough the rolls with it.

Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Remove the rolls from the oven and leave to cool.
