For the soup
600 grams Tomatoes (cherry tomatoes)
1 shallot
1 garlic clove
1 carrot
2 Tbsps olive oil
2 Tbsps Tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
800 milliliters Broth (to taste, beef, chicken or vegetable broth)
For the meatballs
1 garlic clove
400 grams mixed Ground meat
1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
2 Tbsps breadcrumbs
salt
ground peppers
For the garnish
oregano (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

For the soup, rinse tomatoes and cut in half. Peel and chop shallot, garlic and carrot.

2.

Puree soup with immersion blender and pass through a fine sieve. Depending on the desired consistency, boil soup down or add additional broth.

For the meatballs, peel garlic, finely chop and mix with the minced meat, herbs and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into small meatballs and add to soup to cook.

4.

Season with salt and pepper. Serve in small bowls and garnish with oregano.
