2 sm cans diced Tomatoes (or 800 g of fresh peeled and pieced very ripe tomatoes)
salt
freshly ground peppers
fresh Nutmeg
sugar
2 garlic cloves
olive oil
10 fresh Basil

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the garlic. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a pan, and sauté the garlic briefly. Add the tomatoes and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and fresh nutmeg.

Bring to a boil briefly, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
