1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 bay leaf
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
3 Tbsps olive oil
salt
peppers (from the mill)
1 pinch sugar
Basil (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the garlic and onion. Chop 2 cloves of garlic and finely chop the onion.

In a pan of hot oil, sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add the bay leaf and tomato paste and sauté briefly.

Blanch the tomatoes and rinse with cold water. Peel, quarter and coarsely chop, adding to the pan.

Simmer for about 15 minutes on low heat.

Season the sauce with sugar, salt and pepper. Fill the sauce into bowls and garnish with remaining garlic and basil leaves.
