100 grams ground almonds (blanched)
2 Tbsps sugar
1 egg white
2 Tbsps milk
300 grams Puff pastry dough (about 42 x 24 cm) (approximately 17 x 9 inches)
2 Tbsps melted butter
30 grams slivered almonds

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F) convection.

Mix the ground almonds, sugar, egg white and milk until combined and smooth.

Spread the almond paste over the puff pastry, cut into about 8 pieces (each 10 x 12 cm) (approximately 4 x 5 inches) and roll up. Place, seam-side down, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with butter and sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.
