For the filling, rinse the peperoncini, cut in half, remove seeds and chop. Clean the mushrooms thoroughly and chop finely. Cut the cheddar into small cubes. Mix the peperoncini with mushrooms and cheddar.

2.

Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, and mix well. Divide the ground beef and form four balls from it. Press a hole in the center of each ball place some filling in it, seal the ground beef around it and press a little flatter to make the patties.

Heat oil in a skillet and fry the patties in it on each side for about 4 minutes. Then close the skillet with lid and cook for about 4 minutes, so that the cheese melts in the middle.

Rinse the lettuce and shake dry. Cut the rustic rolls horizontally. Place the lettuce over the bottom halves of rustic rolls and top with stuffed patties. Place the top halves over and serve the burger as desired with a dollop of ketchup.
