If you do not like cranberries or if they are not available at the moment, they can be replaced by raisins, for example.

Ingredients
- For the apples
- 7 Apple (such as braeburn)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- juiced lemons
- 3 Tbsps honey
- 50 grams dried Cranberry
- For the dough
- 125 grams softened butter
- 250 grams Quark
- 3 eggs
- 120 grams powdered sugar
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- For the topping
- 2 Tbsps slivered almonds
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Preparation steps
For the apples: Peel and core apples with an apple corer. Prick apples with a fork several times. Place the apples in a greased baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and honey. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
For the dough: Beat butter and cottage cheese. Gradually add eggs and powdered sugar. Combine flour and baking powder and fold into filling.
Line the bottom of a springform pan (24 cm or 10 inches in diameter) with parchment paper. Press half the dough into the pan.
Fill apples with cranberries, then cover apples with remaining dough. Place apples in the pan and sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Remove and let cool. Carefully remove from the pan and serve dusted with remaining sugar.
