Healthy, because

Even smarter

The beef steak with herb butter and baked potato has a lot to offer! Among other things, high-quality protein: beef provides a lot of the main nutrient and potatoes contribute to the high biological value. This means: the body benefits even more from the protein in this combination, for example for muscle building. The beef also contains the trace element iron, which is particularly important for blood formation.

Not in the mood for baked potato? The beef steak is of course also a treat with other side dishes! Even the classic boiled potato or fried potatoes look good next to the steak. If you prefer to enjoy the dish low carb, it is best to leave out the potato side dish altogether and serve a green salad with vinegar-oil dressing instead.

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse potatoes thoroughly and dry. Brush four large pieces of foil with oil, place one potato in the middle on each sheet, season with salt and top with rosemary sprig. Wrap potatoes tightly and bake in preheaated oven at 220°C (approximately 425°F) for about 30 minutes on the middle rack. Reduce oven temperature to 100°C (approximately 200°F).

2.

Rinse and pat dry meat, season with pepper. Heat butter in a large ovenproof pan and sear meat on both sides. Finish cooking in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 5-8 minutes (depending on thickness and desired doneness). Rinse and dry tomatoes. Heat garlic oil in a pan and saute tomatoes, season with salt, sprinkle with sugar and place on a warm plate. Unwrap potatoes and place next to tomatoes. Arrange steaks next to vegetables and put dollops of herb butter on potatoes and meat. Serve.
