Spicy Tomato Sauce

Nutritional values
Although strained tomatoes contain less vitamin C than fresh fruit, the cell-protecting lycopene content is higher. Instead of lots of sugar, like in tomato ketchup, there is only a little honey in this sauce. The Sambal oelek adds healthy spice: simply dose according to taste.
It's fun to keep a supply of this sauce on hand. Pour the hot sauce into screw-cap jars that you have previously rinsed out with boiling water. The tomato sauce will stay good in the refrigerator for 4 weeks, and 3 to 4 days after opening.
