Spicy Apple Spread
Melt the lard in a pot with the spices. Peel and finely chop the onions and the apples. Once the greaves turn yellow, remove the spices and add the apples and onions.
When the lard is lightly browned, transfer to a jar. Do not move the jar around otherwise the fat will become grainy.
Seal the jar and store in a cool, dry place.
Suggestion: Serve with whole-grain bread.
