- 3 Tbsps sunflower oil
- 4 cups Beef (from the leg or the shoulder, diced)
- 2 large onions (sliced)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp flour
- 2 cups vegetable stock
- 1 cup canned, chopped Tomatoes
- cayenne pepper
- 2 ½ cups waxy potatoes (diced)
- 2 sticks Celery (sliced)
- 2 ¼ cups carrots (cut into sticks)
- ⅔ cup frozen peas

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oil in a pot and fry the meat on all sides. Add the onions and garlic and stir in the tomato puree. Dust with flour and mix well.
2.
Add the stock and the tomatoes, season with salt, cayenne pepper and ground black pepper and then cover and braise for 1 hour.
3.
Add the potatoes, celery and carrots and braise for a further 20 minutes. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time add the peas. Season and serve hot.
