Sour Spiced Bratwurst
Peel and slice carrot.
Peel, halve and cut onion into strips.
In a pot, combine water with vinegar. Add carrot, onion, spices and salt. Simmer about 20 minutes over low heat.
Place sausages in pot with spices, cover and remove immediately from the heat. Let stand about 5 minutes.
Serve the cooked sausages in a large tureen.
