Ingredients

For the pork
800 grams Pork tenderloin
2 Tbsps Peanut oil
salt
freshly ground peppers
5 Tbsps light Sesame seeds
For the Asian dipping sauce
2 Tbsps finely chopped Thai basil
1 Tbsp finely chopped mint
4 Tbsps sweet and sour Chili sauce
3 Tbsps Lime juice
2 Tbsps dark soy sauce
1 pinch sugar
Thai basil (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

For the pork: Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F).

Rinse the pork, pat dry and trim excess fat and tendons.

3.

Rub the pork with 1 tablespoon of the peanut oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat an ovenproof skillet on the stove. Add the pork and sear until golden. Remove from the skillet and drizzle with the remaining peanut oil. Place the sesame seeds on a plate. Press the pork into the sesame seeds to coat. Bake for 30 minutes.

For the Asian dipping sauce: Rinse the Thai basil and mint, shake dry, pluck leaves and finely chop. In a bowl, stir the herbs with the chili sauce, lime juice and soy sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar to taste.

6.

For serving: Cut the pork tenderloin into slices and serve with the dipping sauce. Garnish with Thai basil.
