In addition, wholemeal rye bread made from natural sourdough contains valuable B vitamins and many important minerals.
If you like it a bit fruitier, chop the walnuts coarsely, fold them into the cream cheese and top the bread with apple or pear slices instead of drizzling it with honey.

- 4 ozs fresh goat cheese
- salt
- peppers
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 4 slices Whole Grain Rye Rolls (from sourdough)
- 2 ozs walnut kernels (4 TBSP.)
- 2 Tbsps honey
Preparation steps
Mix goat cheese with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Wash thyme, shake dry, pluck leaves and stir half into the creamed cheese.
Cut bread slices in half and spread the goat cheese mixture on the bread. Sprinkle with nuts and remaining thyme leaves and drizzle with the honey.
