2 red onions
2 Tbsps olive oil
1 tsp honey
3 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
salt

1 Pear
7 Tbsps Blue cheese
4 lg slices Rye sourdough bread

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onions and cut into strips. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan. Steam onions and honey in it at medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Deglaze with vinegar and reduce for 3-4 minutes at low heat. Season with salt and pepper.

Wash the pear, remove the seeds, cut into slices and fry in a hot grill pan for 4 minutes at medium heat. Cut the cheese into slices. Cover 2 slices of bread with pear, onions and cheese. Fold together with the other slices.

3.

Place sandwiches in a grill pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side over medium heat until the cheese has melted. Halve the sandwiches diagonally and serve warm.
