Ingredients
- For the dough
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 20 grams Yeast
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 2 boiled and grated potatoes about 125 g (approximately 4.5 ounces)
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- For the topping
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- peppers
- 500 grams onions
- ½ tsp finely chopped marjoram
- ½ tsp Caraway
- 100 grams cured ham
- 100 grams Sour cream
Preparation steps
Combine the flour, nutmeg and salt in a bowl. Make a well in the center and mix the lukewarm water and yeast in the well. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes, then knead with 75-90 ml (approximately 1/4-1/3 cup) lukewarm water to form a relatively firm dough. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place. Knead in the grated potatoes and divide the dough into 2 portions. Roll out into 2 circles.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel and mince the garlic. Peel the onion and slice thinly. Sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil until softened. Place the dough circles on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread the sour cream over the dough and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Distribute the onions on top. Cut the ham into thin strips and place on top of the onions. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
