Pizza with Sausage, Peppers, Onions and Olives
Ingredients
- For the pizza dough
- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 1 cube Yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 6 Tbsps olive oil
- 250 milliliters water
- Pastry flour (for dusting)
- For the topping
- 1 can Diced tomatoes
- 4 Tbsps Beans (canned)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp parsley (chopped)
- 200 grams Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 100 grams Gouda (grated)
- 2 spicy Sausage
- 1 small red onion
- 8 Olives (pitted, sliced)
- 1 red paprika
- 1 green paprika
- sundried Tomatoes
- olive oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
Dissolve the yeast in 50 ml (approximately 1/4 cup) lukewarm water until smooth. Place the flour in a bowl, make a well in the middle, pour in the yeast and mix until combined. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
Add the remaining warm water, salt, sugar and olive oil and knead until smooth. Cover and let proof for another 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, rinse the peppers, cut in half, remove the seeds and cut into strips. Peel the onion, quarter and slice thinly. Peel the garlic and chop finely. Mix the tomatoes with the garlic, beans and parsley and season with salt and pepper.
Slice the sausages diagonally.
Remove the dough from the bowl, knead on a floured work surface vigorously, cut into 4 pieces and shape into pizzas.
Place on oiled baking sheets, brush with oil, spoon tomato sauce over top, sprinkle with cheese and top with the remaining ingredients. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (approximately 425°F) for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot.
