Thanks to the use of agar-agar instead of jam sugar, this pineapple jam can do without a whole lot of sugar. This saves calories, but above all, too much sugar damages the teeth and can lead to caries.
The disadvantage of the low sugar content, however, is the equally short shelf life; pineapple jam should therefore be stored in the refrigerator and consumed as soon as it is opened.

- 1 kilogram ripe Pineapple (from 2-3 pineapples)
- 1 kilogram jam sugar (1:1 ratio)
- Juice of 1 lemons
Preparation steps
Finely dice the pineapple. Try your best to save any juice that is created when you dice the pineapple. Mix the pineapple with reserved pineapple juice, lemon juice, and jam sugar.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 4 minutes, continuing to stir. Fill the prepared jars to the brim with the hot jam. Seal tightly and turn upside down to cool for 15 minutes. Turn right side up and cool completely.
