20 grams Bacon
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
1 red Pepperoncini
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
300 grams peeled Tomatoes (canned)

Preparation steps

Finely dice the bacon, then cook in a dry pan until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Rinse the pepperoncini and halve lengthwise. Remove the seeds and julienne. Heat the oil in a pan, and sauté the onion, garlic, and pepperoncini. Drain the tomatoes, add to the pan, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. At the end of the cook time, mix the bacon into the sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Cook the penne in boiling salted water according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the penne, then mix into the sauce. Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve.
