- 500 grams red onions
- 2 Tbsps sunflower oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 250 milliliters Red wine
- 75 milliliters white balsamic vinegar
- 1 generous pinch Ground clove
- 1 generous pinch allspice
- salt
- freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

Rinse the plums and cut in half. Remove the stones and thinly slice. Peel and thinly slice the onions, then sauté for 1-2 minutes in the oil. Add the plums, honey, red wine, vinegar, cloves, and allspice. Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. If necessary, add some water. Stir occasionally to keep the mixture from burning.

Season to taste with salt, pepper, and vinegar. Divide into prepared jars, seal tightly, and cool completely.
