Preparation steps

Step 1/2

Soak day-old bread in a little lukewarm water. Squeeze and combine with ground lamb, egg, chopped garlic and thyme. If necessary, add breadcrumbs to make malleable. Season with salt and pepper and form 4 patties. Heat oil in a pan and cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Peel onion and cut into strips. Saute onion in the burger pan.

Step 2/2

Cut bread rolls in half and grill in a hot grill pan, cut side down. Rinse and dry lettuce, tear into smaller pieces. Chop tomatoes and olives, crumble feta cheese. Arrange meat patties on bottom roll halves and top with tomatoes, olives, feta and lettuce. Add onions, replace roll tops and serve.
