- 600 grams Chicken breasts (ready to cook)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs Lemongrass (tender)
- 1 ½ centimeters fresh ginger
- 100 milliliters light soy sauce
- 1 untreated lemon (peel only)
- 2 Tbsps Apple juice
- 2 Tbsps ground cilantro
- 1 Star anise
- 1 untreated Lime (peel only, in strips)
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 10 peppercorns

Preparation steps
1.
Place wooden skewers in water. Rinse meat, pat dry and cut into cubes. Peel and chop garlic cloves, and combine garlic and meat cubes in a bowl. Rinse the lemon peel and ginger. Finely chop both.

Mix soy sauce, lemon peel, lemongrass, apple juice, coriander, ginger and star anise with meat. Cover and marinate for about 4 hours, turning frequently.

Put meat on skewers and place lime strips on ends of skewers. Heat butter in a pan, add peppercorns and fry skewers until browned on all sides and cooked through. Serve with fresh lettuce, if desired.
