- 5 ⅓ cups potatoes (diced)
- 2 cups Okra (pods)
- 2 Tbsps Chickpea flour (gram)
- 4 Tbsps Tamarind
- 2 Banana (sliced)

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Small bowl, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Casserole dish (26 cm Ø), 1 Citrus juicer, 1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Whisk, 1 Non-stick pan, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Paper towel
Preparation steps
1.
Grind the fennel seeds, cumin and coriander together in a mortar.
2.
Heat the ghee and fry the ground seeds with the turmeric. Add the potatoes and the okra pods and dust with the gram flour.
3.
Add 750 ml/1 1/2 pints water and simmer for approx. 15 minutes. Add the tamarind pods and the bananas and simmer for a further 5-10 minutes until thick. Season with salt and serve with either rice or bread.
