Ingredients
- Ingredients
- softened butter (for greasing)
- Pastry flour (for dusting)
- 175 grams Granola (with nuts and seeds)
- 400 grams Pastry flour
- 3 tsps Baking powder
- 200 grams sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 250 grams melted butter
- 200 milliliters Buttermilk
- 1 egg
Preparation steps
Preheat the oven to 180°C top (approximately 350°F). Grease the baking dish with butter and dust with flour.
Mix the granola, flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix in the butter, buttermilk and egg and knead briefly with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Pour the mixture into the baking dish, smooth the top and bake for about 1 hour, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool for at least 1 hour. Then cut into 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) wide slices and cut those slices into rectangles about 5 cm (approximately 2 inches) long.
Preheat the oven to 100°C (approximately 200°F). Place the granola bars on a lined baking sheet and dry for about 6 hours in the preheated oven. Store the granola bars in an airtight container until ready to serve (such as in a cookie jar).
