- 2 firm Pear (peeled, cored and sliced)
- ½ lemon (juice)
- ⅔ cup butter
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- ⅓ cup Golden syrup
- 2 ¼ cups rolled oats
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsps Sesame seeds

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a 20 cm|8" square tin.
2.
Slice the pears and toss in the lemon juice. Set aside.
3.
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup together in a large pan over a low heat. Remove from the heat.
4.
Add the rolled oats, cinnamon and salt and stir well.
5.
Press half the mixture into the tin and smooth the top. Cover with the pear slices, then with the remaining oat mixture and press smooth. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6.
Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden. Cool completely in the tin, then cut into squares
