- 4 sour Organic apples (such as Red or Golden Delicious)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 80 grams Walnut
- 20 grams raisins
- 1 tsp Rum (or apple juice)
- 1 Tbsp Whipped cream
- 60 grams butter
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 50 grams Gingerbread
- 2 egg whites
- 20 grams powdered sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Rinse and pat dry the apples, then cut off a lid. Remove core and seeds and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Chop the walnuts and mix with raisins, rum, cream, 20 g (approximately 3/4 ounce) butter and the brown sugar. Spoon the mixture evenly into the apples and place in a greased baking dish. Finely chop the gingerbread. Beat the egg whites with the powdered sugar until stiff, then fold in the gingerbread and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the apples on top of the nut filling, put on the lid and dot with the remaining butter. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Serve immediately.
